Mr. Chao has over thirty years of experience in the real estate investment management industry. He has successfully advised his clients in the acquisition of more than $2 billion dollars of real estate in the U.S.

Notable transactions include the LAX Marriott Hotel, Sheraton Grande Hotel, Los Angeles; the Inter-Continental Hotel, Los Angeles; the Biltmore Hotel Los Angeles; the Mandarin Oriental Hotel, San Francisco; Hilton Hotel, Fremont; Hilton Hotel, Pleasanton; Marriott Hotel, Torrance and millions of square feet of office buildings, shopping centers, and multi-family units in California and other states. 

Over the years Mr. Chao has received numerous professional designations such as CCIM, SIOR, CPM, CIPS, CEC, ALC and CREA. In addition to his business activities, Mr. Chao has served as committee member & past vice chairman of the International Education Task Force of the Certified Commercial Investment Member Institute as well as past president & director of the Chinese American Real Estate Professional Association of Southern California.

Mr. Chao is the recipient of considerable awards and honors from various organizations, including “Who’s Who in Commercial Real Estate” by the Los Angeles Business Journal, “Investor of the Year” by California Real Estate Journal, “Who’s Who in Real Estate & Development Industries”, “Who’s Who in Creative Real Estate” ,and “Men of Achievement”. He was selected by the Los Angeles Downtown News as “Top Dealmaker in Los Angeles”.

He is a frequent lecturer, writer and often quoted authority on real estate and international matters.He received his BA degree from The University of Chinese Culture and attended graduate school at The University of Idaho.
